Sporadic Scene: The Dark Knight (2008) – Truck Flip

An idea occurred to me recently for a new feature on my blog: The Sporadic Scene. Once a week I am going to choose a scene from a movie/series/wherever that was really good (no matter what type of emotion it evoked or the genre) and will be putting it up here.

If you have a scene that you would like featured, drop me a mail at sporadiczoe@hotmail.com with a picture/gif/video of the scene and an explanation as to why (should you want to include it).

Without further ado I present to you the opening scene for my latest feature: The Dark Knight Truck Flip!

  1. Awesome scene! Just saw it again a few days ago. The amazing thing is there was no CGI involved in the flip. They actually rigged and flipped the truck in downtown Chicago. Amazing! Great first pick for your new feature!

    1. Thanks a lot Keith, I am glad that you enjoyed it! It was one of the most awesome scenes in a movie and it was all done from scratch, which I loved! Had to start the feature with a bang! 😀

      1. This was one of my favorite theater experiences ever. I cut out of work to see the very first matinee showing on the day it came out and was so pumped with adrenaline afterwards that I was literally shaking for a few hours from the intensity of the movie.

This scene obviously is one of the most intense action scenes in the movie!

      1. Funny story. When TDK came out, I was working at a movie theatre. And every time this entire scene came on, all of us, employees, would stand at the back and watch it. Must have seen it 3-4 times each day for a week. If people needed assistance, we were no where to be found. Our boss would come in and shoo us all lol.

  2. Yeah this is a really great start, digging the new feature idea. 😀

Why do I have a feeling that there will be many a scene from the Dark Knight trilogy?? Chris Nolan is just brilliant.

      1. Oh, gonna flood your page here with a daily countdown to Interstellar: 275 days. Eesh. That doesn’t sound so good, actually. maybe i’ll wait a bit. 😀

      2. YOU ARE EVIL! It is my most anticipated movie of 2014. I can’t wait! I hope we get it the same time as you all do!

275 does seem lengthy. Do it anyway! 😛
