Sporadic Scene: 10 Things I Hate About You (1999) – Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You

10 Things I Hate About You is one of those rom-coms that will not totally sicken guys. In fact, it is pretty amusing, extremely nineties and backed with a great cast. Watching Heath Ledger as the bad boy is always a treat, and seeing how he gets in under Kat’s skin is a gradual process but it works. However, when things went sour and she wrote her English poem for him, it really brings things into perspective. Let’s not forget that it was one of the best love poemsto be heard in a really long time!

If you have a scene that you would like featured, drop me a mail at sporadiczoe@hotmail.com with a picture/gif/video of the scene and an explanation as to why (should you want to include it).

    1. 🙂 It is such a fantastic movie, and he is just so worth watching all the time, but I have a seriously soft spot for that role of his!

  1. Never seen it…. : (

But, in my shame, I am watching something called The Pit and the Pendulum from 1991. It’s terrible.

  2. Oooh, this was on my top 20 scenes I could watch over and over! LOVE Ledger and Stiles in this, it’s one of the best high school romances I’ve seen. Ledger had a nice voice too didn’t he? Oh how I’ve missed him so.

    1. 😀 Yay! I am so glad to hear that Ruth! This movie is fantastic and filled with great scenes, and this one was brilliant! Ah, that he did. I can totally agree with you there! 😦

      1. It was apparently a modernization of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. There’s a young Joseph Gordon Levitt too, who kind of looked like Ledger a bit sometimes. I wish Stiles had a better career than she has now, she’s so talented!

      2. Yeah, a good one too, I reckon. He does look shockingly like Ledger at times! Yeah, hers has been very hit and miss, which is a pity, she isn’t bad at all!
