The IPC Sporadic Scene: Rubber (2010) – The Closing Scene

It brings me great joy to host my dear Eric of The IPC once again today in bringing us a Sporadic Scene. Thanks Chop!

If you have a scene that you would like featured, drop me a mail at sporadiczoe@hotmail.com with a picture/gif/video of the scene and an explanation as to why (should you want to include it).

It’s been a while since I’ve seen this thing but whenI think about it, I always think about the closing sequence. The movie itself is about a tire that comes to life and starts killing people which sounds very weird – and it is but it’s also a giant FUCK YOU to Hollywood and their big budget movies that don’t mean shit and make a billion dollars. I don’t want to spoil this as it’s one of my top 25 movies (if such a thing existed) but after something has happened and you think it’s over – this scene happens. Aside from the fact that it’s really cool and the tricycle is rallying its troops for an assault on Hollywood, I just love the ascending score. I hope you enjoy!
