100 Happy Days: Day 41 – 50

My happy days are on a roll people, and I am having such a good time with this challenge 🙂 It has been quite enjoyable so far, even with the insane week I have had this past week, a little reminder about the smaller things is always cool.

Day 41:

day 41

Pepsi > Coke any day of the week. That’s just how I feel. Coke makes my teeth feel funky, and I hate that. Pepsi is also smoother. Alright, now that we have expounded the virtues of Pepsi, I also need to mention that I love chocolate MnM’s. A lot. So when the shop close to work had both Pepsi and MnM’s? I decided to have a nice little lunch time snack binge 😀

Day 42:

day 42

My Blu Ray/DVD collection is growing. To the extent that I need to get a new shelf. ASAP. I love my collection. A lot. Sometimes I wonder if it is worth it, all the money that goes into it? Then I look at it and get all happy and I know that it is, indeed, worth it.

Day 43:

day 43

Some friends were visiting from the States, and we went out for lunch. I had the most delightful Mexican fillet steak, and it was accompanied by glorious onion rings and chips. Hmmmm. I am actually too hungry to be working on this post, not a good idea. I want a delicious steak right now…

Day 44:

day 44

Day two of the visiting friends and we tripped out to Kaapschehoop for pancakes and to walk around. Our guests were fortunate to catch Kaapschehoop as it is meant to be seen – misted and beautiful, chilly, and wild horses everywhere. It was also really nice for my to see my fiancé reunited with one of his closest friends. They get along like a house on fire and hardly ever get to see each other.

Day 45:

day 45

So my bestest Natasha bought me a horror box set for Christmas, and I have been having a ball! I binge watched a few, and only have one more to go. Much fun!

Day 46:

day 46

So Netflix has finally launched in South Africa, which is great! I was expecting the end of 2016, which was in their proposed rollout, so when I got an email one Wednesday evening that Netflix was live? I knew I had to check it out. We downloaded the app on the PlayStation and spent Sunday binging on Narcos (which is freaking fantastic, by the way). I made my Sunday a chill day, as I just needed pampering and rest. It was lovely.

Day 47:

Day 47

Okay, I have been freaking about this since I stumbled on the score. I absolutely adore this show (it is like my favourite ever), but I have never bought Hannibal to add to my collection because it is insanely expensive. However, the other day I picked up seasons one and two for 75% off. I didn’t even think twice. I grabbed them and ran, and I cannot wait to start watching them (even though my watch list is gigantic).

Day 48:

day 48

I was having a horrific day, and I was just over it all. Before things got too out of hand though, I remembered my bag contained a delicious Hazelnut Hug In A Mug, and I was so satisfied when I unearthed it and made myself a cup. Hmmmmm, delightful!

Day 49:

DAY 49

Finally! Crazy week has not let up, but we finally got to chill out, grabbed some pizza and finished Narcos on Wednesday evening. It was so rewarding, and just what we needed… but now we need more of it xD

Day 50:

day 50

Finally we got some rain! A little excited too quickly maybe, because this huge storm rolled in, but it made as hasty an exit as it did an entrance. However, rain is rain and we desperately need some. Now, more please!

  1. Hey Zoe! I love this post. I don’t know why but I always like seeing pictures into people’s personal lives and how they live especially when they are in a totally different country than me. Love it! And loving your movie collection, it is worth every penny. Would you die if you had to throw away all those boxes and put your cds in one of those cd books?! Lol That’s what I did and sometimes I totally regret doing that. I am so excited you got Netflix. Narcos was so good! 🙂

    1. Melissa! Thank you! I am with you there, it is always so interesting 🙂 I love that collection. Oh wow, that was a major step to take! I don’t know if I would be able to do it :/ Ahhhh, Narcos was the best!
