Can you believe how fast this challenge has been progressing?! I am almost beside myself. We are rapidly closing in on the end of it. Two more posts like this left!
Day 71:
Oh man, how happy was I to find a two litre Creme Soda in the stores?! I haven’t really found one since the end of November/beginning of December (every damn year), so when I saw this, I hopped over, grabbed it, and was having a happy dance in the middle of the store. Needless to say, there were some highly amused onlookers.
Day 72:
Leaving the house the other morning, the first thing I saw after the rains of the evening was this gorgeous hibiscus, open and beautiful.
Day 73:
Ah, after a few godawful days, playing poker was really the best thing for me. We really need to try and get back into the habit of playing every single month, it is too much fun! What with my studies being less, we might just be able to swing it!
Day 74:
I freaking love slippers. Love, love, love. My last slippers got mauled by the washing machine (I don’t even want to get into it), so I had to get new ones. I did recently, and they are still being walked in, but make me immensely happy. Every time I look at my footsies or move from the lounge to the kitchen, or to the room, I am thrilled to know I got new babies on my footsies.
Day 75:
Yes, I know it looks like I am having a foot-crazy few days here, but it just so happened to work out like that xD So the shoes for my groom and his guys arrived, and I am stoked they are all looking so good. I love sneakers and suits ❤
Day 76:
Recently I tried my first ever microwave fudge, inspired by Abbi’s Christmas fudge. I got another receipe though (just for plain fudge) and it turned out mostly alright, though I will have to tweak it because it is really hot and humid here, so this set for the most part, but didn’t harden as much as I would have liked (as in, I had to keep it in the fridge). Oh well, next time! Aside from the slight setting issue, OMG this fudge is delicious.
PS: The next batch set perfectly!
Day 77:
Ah, my dear fiancé gave me lunch money today, how sweet, and I got myself one delicious pizza with it for lunch. They weren’t kidding when they said there was something amazing inside (which is rare for Debonairs)!
Day 78:
My groom’s bow tie, and I absolutely love the thing! Needed something to make him stand out from his groomsmen a bit, and this we found and it is awesome. Not a purple that is too feminine, and not some shiny bow tie.
Day 79:
Ah, I am spoiled! I begged hinted to my fiancé that I would absolutely love some chilli biltong chunks from the butchery close to where he works, they simply have the most delicious biltong. He brought me some home and I was completely stoked. Hmmmmmmmm!
Day 80:
While my other half was out and about this weekend after being kidnapped by his guys, a very good friend and myself had a movie day – which basically equated to watching the super awesome Fanboys, talking a hell of a lot and snacking like queens. Man, what fun!
Such an awesome run down! Rix will rock his bow-tie and your poor abused slippers hahahaha. the things you did to your old pair!

🙂 Thanks bestie! Damn straight he will rock it! I should have just kept them on the regular cycle. It never occurred to me that they would get owned by that machine – it was always so loving! But yeah… my slippers earn their keep xD

That is a pretty cool bowtie! And bowties are automatically cooler than regular ties. 😀

Eeeek! Loving the sneakers! I’m getting married in May myself, and I’ve got white customised Converse as my wedding shoes. My fiance doesn’t know, and so I’m buying him a pair as a surprise for the evening 🙂

🙂 YAY! I am so happy to hear that hahaha.
Slippers are only the best things ever! I live in mine. Okay, not as bad as the one student at my workplace (he wears them to college every day), but pretty bad. I really want my poker time back! Freaking studies!
xD Creme Soda… dangerous stuff that!

Aren’t they just! I have three pairs at the moment….I even have a pair for ‘best’ LOL. When are your ‘best’ slippers ever required?!!! I would live in PJs and slippers if I could 🙂 I think your student work colleague could be my new hero lol.
I’ve never even learnt to play poker!!! My bf likes it, he could teach me but I’d probably get irritated at him. Hey do you guys know Shithead at all? It’s a card game that kind of has some myth and legend to it, some people know it and some people don’t but I don’t think it’s an “official” game. I have been on holiday and met people from different places who know it though 🙂
CREEEEEAM SODA!!!! 😀

PJs and slippers – my weekend attire. I can get real grouchy if I have to get up and dressed hahaha. Let me shower and put my PJs on again, and all is well.
I get what you are saying. And they always look so cosy. This kid is crazy. He was so depressed last year – his slippers gave up the ghost and he had to wear real shoes to college until he replaced them. Hilarious!
Awwwwwwww, it’s a great game. We play Texas Holdem poker because it is usually a faster game and easier to teach 🙂 I don’t know Shithead at all. I know something similar, but I see there are many variations of the game hahaha, so it is possible that the version I know is, in actual fact, what you know as Shithead.

Yay, I am glad the fudge went well bar the setting issue. If you add some icing sugar that will help it to be stiffer. Just make sure you sieve it or you end up with little white flecks.

Thanks a million for the tip! I will try that out the next time 🙂
